What is a bidet?

At its core, a bidet is a designed to clean your private parts for any reason using a stream of water, most commonly after a bowel movement. Think of it as a mini shower. 

Why should I use a bidet?

Think about it this way - when your hands are dirty, do you wipe them with dry paper or do you wash them with water? Water is much more sanitary than wiping because you will be washing the unwanted material away instead of smearing it around.

While a barebones bidet will have a front and rear ambient (cold) temperature wash only, a full featured electric bidet seat will have a warm water wash, warm air dry, heated seat, adjustable nozzles, customizable wash settings, clean itself, flush the toilet automatically, and will even greet you!

Many of our bidets are part of a kit with a toilet which is convenient if you are remodeling your bathroom, however you can purchase a bidet seat or attachment to replace or fit under the seat on your existing toilet.

Do I need soap to properly clean myself?

The medically recommended way to clean your personal areas is warm water only. While you may use soap in the shower, our bidets can provide a warm wash of gently aerated water, which delivers a more effective cleansing than toilet paper alone. Are bidets messy?

How much room is needed in the bathroom?

Modern bidets take up no more space than your toilet seat, because they are integrated into a toilet seat. Whether you are buying a bidet toilet or a bidet seat, these solutions take up no more space than your existing setup. The only modification needed is an electric outlet which is needed if you elect for an electric bidet seat.

Is installation difficult?

Our bidet toilet seats take no more than 30 minutes to install, and they come with all hardware needed for installation. If you are purchasing an electric bidet toilet seat, you will only need to plug in to a standard wall outlet and utilize the existing water connection for your toilet. You can certainly hire a plumber, but it is not required.

If you are purchasing a complete bidet toilet, you may want to hire a plumber as this is similar to installing a normal toilet. 

Is toilet paper cheaper?
